Privacy Policy

Legacy Realty Group is a real estate team with Keller Williams Edge Realty, Brokerage, led by Paul Lisanti, Salesperson. This policy explains what personal information we collect through proplabs.ca and its client portal, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
1. Information we collect
Information you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, the kinds of properties you're interested in, your saved searches and saved listings, and anything you write to us.
Account information, such as your sign-in details for the client portal.
Activity in the client portal, such as the searches you run, the listings you view and the listings you save. Real estate board rules require us to keep a record of activity on the portal; see section 4. We also use it as described in section 2.
Technical information that web servers record automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and the date and time of each visit.
2. How we use it
- To provide real estate brokerage services to you.
- To give you access to the client portal and keep your account secure.
- To send you listing alerts and updates you have asked for.
- To understand which properties, areas and price ranges interest you, so we can suggest suitable listings, spot opportunities for you and give you better advice. This may include automated analysis of your portal activity.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
- To meet our obligations under real estate board rules and the law.
We rely on your consent to collect and use your information. You can withdraw consent at any time (section 6), although that may mean we can no longer give you portal access or alerts.
3. Email and alerts
Creating an account does not sign you up for marketing email. We only send listing alerts and market updates if you choose to subscribe, and every one includes a way to stop receiving them. We may still send messages about your account, such as email confirmation and password resets, and messages about an active transaction or anything you have specifically requested.
4. Real estate board (MLS®) information
Listing information in the client portal is provided by PropTx Innovations Inc. under a Virtual Office Website (VOW) agreement. Under the rules that govern that agreement:
- The portal is available only to people with a genuine interest in buying, selling or leasing real estate.
- We keep a record of activity on the portal, and may be required to share it with PropTx if it is needed to investigate a security breach or a breach of board rules.
- PropTx and other participating members may access the portal to check that listing information is displayed correctly.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- With Keller Williams Edge Realty, Brokerage, where the law or our brokerage obligations require it, for example records relating to a transaction.
- With service providers who help us run the website and our business, such as website hosting, database hosting, email delivery, data analysis tools and customer relationship management (CRM) software. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
- With PropTx, as described in section 4.
- When required by law, or with your consent.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent. Contact our Privacy Officer (section 10). We will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some information where the law or real estate regulations require it, and if so we will tell you.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
7. Cookies
The client portal uses cookies only to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.
8. Where your information is stored
Our database is hosted in Canada. Some of our service providers, including our website host and email delivery service, may process information in other countries, including the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of those countries.
9. Security and retention
We protect personal information with reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, restricted access to our database, and passwords. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as long as the law requires, then delete it securely.

11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will tell registered portal users before it takes effect.
